A LETTER FROM OUR PRESIDENT: 2022
During a year filled with uncertainty, new normals and online connection, I found my belonging and home away from home in Alpha Chi Omega. Despite the extreme challenges that were faced by me and many others during the global pandemic, having the beta phi chapter in my corner from the moment I joined, has made my college experience so much more than I would have ever anticipated. The endless support, laughter, and friendships that this chapter has given me was the driving force in running for president.
As a member who joined during a virtual year, I wasn’t sure taking on this vital role in the chapter was something I was capable of. However, when this doubt crept in, it was quickly overpowered by the encouraging, inspiring, and supportive words of my sisters. Not only did they empower me to run for president, but they stood alongside me as I did. Without every member in the beta phi chapter, I know none of this would have been possible. Although my term is just beginning, the growth, grace, and willingness to adapt to the ever-changing world holds strong within our sisterhood. With the many lessons, opportunities and challenges that are to come, I know I won’t have to face them alone.
Although it is an honor to serve as chapter president for the upcoming term, the real privilege is to be surrounded by the amazing women who make up Alpha Chi Omega. Each woman apart of this sisterhood offers something to celebrate. Bonding on each of our differences, while strengthening our shared values, creates the friendships that will last forever. I could never thank my sisters enough for being the role models, inspirations, and the best support system I’ll ever have. My love for alpha chi continues to grow as the amazing women continue to leave powerful impacts on myself and those around me. The beta phi chapter will hold a special place in my heart forever and always.
